That single number changes the ownership experience more than any spec sheet line: it goes up apartment stairs without a fight, hangs on a wall hook, and, critically, pedals like a normal bicycle when the battery dies or the assist is off.
Why reviewers keep using the word refined
The magnetic torque sensor is the heart of it. Electrek, which tests more ebikes than nearly anyone, called it probably the best torque sensor they had ridden paired with a rear hub motor; TechRadar’s long-term owner-reviewer called it the best city commuter they had ever had. Power arrives proportionally to pedal pressure with near-zero lag, and the Gates Carbon belt version is almost silent. Range testing beat the claim: 60+ miles at minimum assist against the advertised 53, with hard max-assist riding landing at 20-25 miles from the 374Wh pack.
The deliberate limits
The 350W, 40Nm motor and Class 1 spec are the trade for the weight. On grades past about 8 percent you will work even in top assist, there is no throttle, and assistance ends at 20 mph. The battery is fixed in the frame, so charging means parking near an outlet. None of these are flaws so much as the definition of the product, but they make the bike wrong for hill cities and wrong for riders who think 28 mph is the point of an ebike. The availability caveat
At our June 2026 check the US store listed $1,899 but showed nearly every size and color sold out, with one belt-drive variant purchasable.
