Strengths

  • Six-passenger seating on the same 72V, 17.2 kWh lithium platform as the standard Stryker EV, $19,999 versus $20K+ more for legacy-brand crew EVs.
  • Standard roof, vented windshield, doors, 3500 lb winch, EPS, and dual 10-inch TFT screens.
  • 2WD/4WD with front and rear locking differentials, nitrogen-assist shocks, and 11 inches of clearance.
  • Quiet permanent-magnet drivetrain, the trait testers praised on the Stryker platform, matters even more with kids aboard.
  • 2-year limited warranty through HISUN's US dealer network.

Weaknesses

  • Same 17.2 kWh pack hauling two more rows: expect real-world range meaningfully below the 62-mile rating when loaded.
  • 6-8 hour charge time, no fast charging.
  • At 150 inches long it needs a full-size trailer, and the 500 lb bed shrinks practical cargo with all seats filled.
  • New model from a value brand; long-term durability and resale are unknowns.

Electric crew UTVs barely exist as a category. Polaris does not sell a crew Kinetic, and the few six-seat electrics on the market are commercial-priced. That makes the Stryker EV Crew interesting before you even read the spec sheet: six seats, lithium power, 4WD, $19,999.

Mechanically it is the standard Stryker EV stretched 34 inches, sharing the 72V, 17.2 kWh lithium battery, the 40 mph top speed, and the loaded equipment list, roof, vented windshield, doors, 3500 lb winch, electric power steering, dual 10-inch TFT screens, and front and rear locking differentials on double A-arm suspension. One drivetrain note from HISUN’s own spec sheets: the Crew lists a permanent magnet motor where the two-seater lists AC induction, a quiet, torquey configuration well suited to hauling people. Farmers Weekly’s working test of the Stryker platform praised exactly the traits that matter in a people-mover, near-silent operation, a properly fitted cab, and a big step up in interior tech.

Physics asks for honesty on range. The 62-mile rating is the platform number; load the Crew with six adults and a bed full of camp gear and owner-reported norms for comparable EVs suggest planning on substantially less, especially in hills or cold. With a 6 to 8 hour onboard charge and no fast-charge option, this is a charge-overnight, ride-all-day machine, which fits the family and hunting-camp use case it is clearly aimed at. The gas-assist dump bed keeps its 500 lb rating, though practical cargo space competes with the third row.

The caveats mirror the two-seater’s: HISUN’s dealer and parts network is real but thinner than Polaris or Deere, the model is too new for long-term battery data, and resale on value-brand EVs is unproven. Size is the added one, at 150 inches long, the Crew outgrows compact trailers and tight trail systems.

What it offers in exchange has no direct competitor: the only way to put six people in a new lithium 4WD side-by-side for around $20K. For families working acreage, shuttling to the dock, or running quiet to the deer stand with the whole crew, the Stryker EV Crew is, for now, the entire shortlist.
