The Ranger XP Kinetic Ultimate is Polaris’s answer to “what if a Ranger XP 1000 had instant torque and zero noise.” 110 hp, 140 lb-ft, 80-mile range, and the same cargo and towing capacity as the gas flagship. The Ultimate trim is the version that actually replaces a working ranch UTV; the Premium ($29,999) cuts range in half and downscales the dash.
What you give up vs the gas Ranger: cost (Ultimate is $37,499 base, before freight, setup, and options) and charging logistics (5 hours on 240V, 19 on 110V). For a ranch with a barn outlet and overnight downtime, that’s fine. For a commercial fleet doing back-to-back shifts, it’s a real constraint.
The closest competitor is the Volcon Stag ($39,999, 100-mile range, 80 mph) — Volcon’s pitch is “sport UTV with utility capability”; Polaris’s pitch is “utility UTV with luxury tech.” Both are premium. For pure work, the Ranger XP Kinetic. For recreation with hauling capability, the Stag.
